City Hall remains one of my favorite places to photograph brides and grooms. Each corner has its own unique personality and perspective. And with each wedding and wedding venue, the corners end up being different all of the time. The light that comes in to the tunnels varies as well so each portrait inside city hall is just a bit different than the last. In this dramatic portrait of the bride and groom during their Philadelphia wedding, we were able to have a few seconds to ourselves in order to achieve this wide shot of the tunnel. It showcases the columns and unique architecture of city hall with the light perfectly falling on the bride and adding enough contract to really make her gown and veil pop. The newlyweds got ready for the day at the Lowes Hotel on Market Street. From there we went to Washington Square Park and City Hall for portraits then met with family and bridal party back at Lowes for more photos. Then we all made our way over to the Reading Terminal Market where the ceremony and reception were both held. I loved the uniqueness of this wedding and the fact that sophistication and an off-beat venue were combined perfectly.
