Our stunning bride and groom braved the seriously cold and icy day in December to head outside and take formal photos throughout the city before heading to their PAFA wedding reception. For a couple that claimed to be awkward in front of the camera they rocked their formal photos! Of course they could have just been trying to keep warm as well! This series of photos in front of the parkway ended up being some of my favorites from the year. It is rare for the parkway to be so empty and that blueish overcast hiding some of the buildings really adds to the winter themed wedding. The fact that bride and groom are gorgeous helps as well. The bride and groom said their vows in an old church in the Philadelphia then drove around with the bridal party drinking and celebrating. We stopped for photos at the Merchants Exchange building and the Art Museum. After we were done we headed over to the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts for the reception. PAFA was an extraordinary location for a wedding and the staff was excellent to work with. After the sun was gone we went back outside to brave the cold weather to do some more photos on Broad Street with City Hall in the foggy background.
