Philadelphia weddings and elopements are definitely my specialty. I love working at different venues throughout the city from large, extravagant ballrooms to smaller restaurants for intimate celebrations. Maggiano's in Philadelphia was the venue of choice for this happy couple that was together for so long before finally saying I do with their kids and close relatives the day before. I love photographing elopements because they vary so much between each couple. While traditional weddings still have room for the bride and groom to be unique, elopements completely uproot tradition and allow couples to start from scratch with their planning and build exactly what they want. In this case their courthouse wedding took place the day before. The next day close friends and family gathered at this downtown Philadelphia Maggiano's for drinks, dinner and dancing to celebrate the Newlyweds. It was a rainy evening but in the end that just made it even better for photos. We were able to hide under the overhang at Reading Terminal Market and then head out under a big umbrella for some more photos in the rain. Maggiano's was a fantastic venue and their staff was fantastic. The event space was large enough for this group of about 75 people and even had a spacious dance floor.
