It was the last wedding of 2016 and it was definitely one of the best. The weather itself was not so great and left us with a cold, slushy mess to deal with for most of the day. Once it was time to party at the reception we made use of the amazing architecture and scenery inside PAFA. I love this iconic photo of the new Mr. and Mrs. on the balcony at their Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts wedding. The colors provided by the walls combined with the stone structure of the arches and staircase make a gorgeous and dramatic photo. I added the bride and groom in and lit them from behind in order to create a little more separation from the subjects and the background. I wanted the bride and groom to stand out from the background in this photo so that the viewer doesn't overlook them. The PA Academy of Fine Arts had so many amazing areas to photograph! The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous and any Philadelphia wedding photographer would enjoy working there. PAFA is also located so closely to City Hall and other major Philadelphia landmarks that it makes obtaining other portraits a breeze. We were able to take a traditional photo in front of City Hall after dark while spending the daytime at the Art Museum and Merchants Exchange.
