Nipa and Sujal had a traditional Hindu wedding in Philadelphia that spanned across a few days. I was fortunate enough to photograph the entire weekend of ceremonies and celebrations including the mendhi, puja, sangeet on day one, and then the baraat, ceremony and reception on day two. The traditional Philadelphia hindu wedding was held on a Sunday morning at the Courtyard Marriott Philadelphia downtown. Afterwards the newlyweds enjoyed lunch with their families and friends then a few portraits at city hall. After a short break to relax the bride changed into her sari for the reception and groom into his suit. We then went out for more portraits in their new attire to Rittenhouse Square and back to city hall for a traditional Broad Street photo. After this second round of portraits the bride and groom were able to relax and enjoy their final reception and celebration at the Crystal Tea Room in the Wanamaker Building. I love this photo because the couple lives on Broad Street so even though this is a typical Philadelphia wedding photo, there is more meaning behind it for these two aside from just being a popular location. Also, this full length view shows the full sari and it's beauty. It was detailed, gorgeous and look amazing on Nipa. Sujal also coordinated with this bride in his navy suit.
