Washington Square Park is a popular place for wedding photos among brides and grooms getting married in Philadelphia. With all of the architecture and structure involved in Philadelphia weddings, it's a nice change to incorporate a little bit of nature in the photos. I love this clean and simple photo of the soon-to-be Mr. and Mrs. and how the bride's bouquet just pops. The colors in this wedding worked together perfectly - the navy suit and the purple and orange florals. This fall wedding took a different spin on the usual red and orange colors and included the purples for a fun change. Our couple prepared for the day at Lowes Hotel and then we took an uber over to Washington Square Park for a few photos with the greenery. While we wish for some more fall foliage, it didn't seem to hit this year until November. After the park we went to City Hall for a few more traditional Philadelphia style photos. Then off to the ceremony and reception at Reading Terminal Market! If you are bride or groom planning on having photos taken at Washington Square Park, make sure you apply for a permit in advance. Any of the National Parks require permits when using them for wedding photography.
